A good start makes all the difference

New model, new pose for the next three weeks (thank goodness). I like this model a lot -- she has a beautiful body and fair skin that picks up color reflections very well. This week Danni gave me hell for painting too thin, like watercolor, which makes my paintings look too uniform and streaky. So now I am attempting to paint thicker and move more slowly. It seems to be working. Oil, 16" x 20".

Yes, her skin tone is gorgeous, and you did it very well. Your work on the thigh and the buttocks is superb. However, I have a problem with the shoulder, especially the right back shoulder. It's too sharp. But I my eye is so taken with the lower half that the shoulder doesn't distract me.
