WIP: Annual Library

This morning I got lost in DC and happened to drive by a gorgeous flower garden between the Tidal Basin and the Washington Monument, which I never noticed before. It's called the Annual Library, which I presume means all the flowers are annuals. Started this painting today in art class and hope to finish it in the next few days. Yes, I've done everything but the flowers. Painting is shown below with the original snapshot I worked from. Oil, 12" x 16".

Green Spring Gardens

My final effort from my plein air painting class. This is the manor house at Green Spring Gardens park in Annandale, VA.
