Still-etto Life, revised

I did some additional work on my paper-wrapped stiletto. Satisfied now that it's done. I think this is the painting I will submit to the student show later this month. Also, someone already offered to buy it. :)

A good start makes all the difference

New model, new pose for the next three weeks (thank goodness). I like this model a lot -- she has a beautiful body and fair skin that picks up color reflections very well. This week Danni gave me hell for painting too thin, like watercolor, which makes my paintings look too uniform and streaky. So now I am attempting to paint thicker and move more slowly. It seems to be working. Oil, 16" x 20".

OK, made some changes based on your feedback. Getting better? I'm still wavering over the coffee press, so a ghost of it is still there. And once again, I haven't gotten into all of the detail.
